Holiday Shopping Just Got Easier: Must-Buy Book For Teens, Counselors, and More That Teaches Valuable Life Lessons

Palmetto Publishing Re-Announces The Release of SOPHIA: LESSONS FOR THE UNSCHOOLED MIND

Charleston, SC, Dec. 16, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With the holidays comes a new year on its tails—and what better way to celebrate both than turning to the wisdom of those who’ve come before?

Palmetto Publishing and author Anthony Bonapart encourage parents, teachers, counselors, and coaches to turn to a 5-star short story anthology with heart, hard lessons, and humor when they’re looking for a unique, meaningful gift this year.

Sophia: Lessons for the Unschooled Mind is a compelling compilation of thirteen short stories by Anthony B. Bonapart, centered around Kosef, a teenage boy filled with questions about life. As Kosef prepares to transition from high school, his parents send him to his grandmother, seeking the wisdom of Sophia. This journey leads Kosef to explore profound themes of faith, morality, and self-discovery through engaging narratives that resonate with young adults and spiritual seekers alike. Each story serves as a parable, designed to entertain while imparting essential moral lessons.

The narratives delve into critical issues such as religious intolerance, slavery, racism, and self-esteem. For instance, Righteous Belief challenges the notion of superiority in worship, prompting readers to reflect on their beliefs. The Man Who Started the Wildfire illustrates how seemingly minor movements can lead to totalitarianism, urging a deeper understanding of societal dynamics. In Dead Men’s Bones, Kosef learns to question the allure of charismatic leaders, encouraging a critical view of blind admiration for those in power.

As Kosef's bond with his grandmother deepens, so does his understanding of life's complexities. Each story captivates and inspires introspection, making readers ponder their values and beliefs. Through Sophia's teachings, Kosef discovers that the pursuit of knowledge is as vital as the answers themselves. This collection invites readers to accompany Kosef on his quest for truth, offering insights that resonate across generations. Sophia: Lessons for the Unschooled Mind is a thought-provoking exploration of the human experience, encouraging individuals to embark on their own journeys of discovery and understanding.

Sophia is available for purchase online at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.
